Editorial Team

Agro is a practical resource covering crop growing, gardening and the technical side of farming. We focus on questions that matter in day-to-day work: when to carry out a job, what conditions a crop needs, how to identify a problem and which figures are actually useful when making a decision.

Our main topics include crop growing, gardens and orchards, soil and fertility, pests and diseases, farm technology, and sustainability and energy.

How we prepare our articles

Each article starts with a specific question or practical problem. We compare information from industry sources, research institutes, universities, advisory organisations and technical documentation, using both local and international material where it adds value.

When sources give different figures or recommendations, we look at the conditions behind them rather than presenting one number as universally correct. Source-based information is kept separate from practical observations, with experience used to add context rather than replace evidence.

How we write

We aim to answer the question quickly and include only information that is useful in practice. Dates, temperatures, application rates, spacing and other figures are included where they help with an actual decision.

We do not make articles longer for the sake of length. If a point can be explained clearly in a few sentences, a table or a simple comparison, that is how we present it.
